Waiting in Joyful Hope In the Catholic Faith by St Mary's Parish Faith Project Team - Originally reviewed on 20th August 2024

This book is a concise Catechism tailored toward Irish Catholics. While what is compiled here is theologically sound and is very useful, I take issue with the tone of language and the way the pages are structured, which makes it a little difficult to work your way through the book.

Diddly Squat: A Year on the Farm by Jeremy Clarkson - Originally reviewed on 20th August 2024

As I eagerly await the next season of the acclaimed Clarkson’s Farm, Clarkson’s book has satisfied my burgeoning appreciation for the trainee Farmer, with a big mouth and a big heart. The book is very amusing and also mildly informative. Highly recommended.

Power Rangers Dino Charge: The Junior Novel by Richard Dungworth - SPOILER ALERT - Originally reviewed on 11th August 2024

A book that is recommended for both children and adult Power Rangers fans. It is essentially the first two episodes of Power Rangers Dino Charge converted into novel format, and the translation from TV to print is handled really well. You relive what are two great episodes as you read. However, it is questionable as to whether if people, who are not children or Power Rangers fans, would enjoy a book of this nature. Perhaps it would be a nice taste-tester for Power Rangers fans who have yet to watch Dino Charge. Dino Charge is one of the best seasons of the show.

George's Marvellous Medicine by Roald Dahl with Quentin Blake (Illustrator) - Originally reviewed on 1st August 2024

This book is a marvellous quick read and another fine feather in the cap of Roald Dahl. It appeals to the rebelliousness within us all and proves that acting out the desires of our imagination does not always reap positive results.

The Witches by Roald Dahl with Quentin Blake (Illustrator) - SPOILER ALERT, highlight text to read review - Originally reviewed on 27 July 2024.

Brilliantly well paced and simple. The Witches is horrific enough to keep you intrigued, but not in a manner that leaves you frightened or disgusted.
