So, Anyway... by John Cleese - Originally reviewed on May 26th 2024

Overall it was a very good read. A nice sit down with a legend of comedic broadcasting. However it did drag at certain points, as I found aspects of Cleese’s life to be a little uninteresting, in particular his early life. The portrayal of his working relationship with Graham Chapman is a strong highlight of the book. I would have loved a chapter devoted to ‘Fawlty Towers.’ The focus stays more firmly on projects such as ‘The 1948 Show’ and ‘Monty Python’, and that is good enough. The book is over 400 pages, so there probably wasn’t room for everything.
